Nonprofit governance — helping set direction, strategy, and oversight as we scale Fundraising & donor relations — leveraging networks to build sustainable funding Nonprofit leadership — including candidates open to officer roles (President, Treasurer, Secretary, VP) as we build out our leadership team What it means to serve as a Director Help set organizational direction, strategy, and long-term vision Oversee governance and regulatory compliance Represent and speak on behalf of Culturewise Youth at events Actively and independently network and fundraise on our behalf Participate in our Teal/self-managed culture — collaborative, transparent, and non-hierarchical Stepping into leadership
We're specifically looking for people ready to step into a leadership role on the board and help carry us to our next level.
Culturewise Youth (CWY) builds intercultural educational experiences connecting young people across Mali, France, and the United States — working with communities, not about them. We're transitioning from a seed organization into a growing startup nonprofit, and we're looking for experienced board members who can help us reach our next level.
